
WOMEN IN NETWORKING, INC.
Women in Networking or WIN started in North Pinellas County in 2002 with a group of 6 women who had the simple goal of supporting each other personally and professionally. We are a social networking group built on friendships and because of that, have watched our businesses grow.
Since that time, our membership has grown in numbers with 11 meeting places and times to suit everyone's needs. Go to the Calendar page to see the meeting schedule. There are no membership fees, but we do require that members attend at least one meeting a month. We encourage members to go to as many meetings as they can. Simply put, Networking doesn't work if people don't see you on a regular basis and get to know you.
We have very few rules - attend at least one meeting a month, keep a positive attitude at meetings, register on the website, only promote one business and HAVE FUN!
Meetings consist of each attendee introducing themselves, each meeting has a member or 2 as speakers and members bring door prizes. We encourage our members to bring brochures or flyers for their business. Meals are paid individually - check with the leader of the meeting of your choice for specifics.
Not only do we support each other, but we participate in various community activites and support many charities. WIN members volunteer for events, has a team in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life and we host an annual Women's Symposium with all proceeds going to an area charity. Since the 1st Symposium in 2006, we have donated a total of over $16,000 to charities such as The North Pinellas Pregnancy Center, the Resource Center for Women and the Healthy Start Coalition of Pinellas County. WIN also supports All Children's Hospital, Florida First Start, The Haven and The Boys & Girls Club to name a few.
